Blackburn North honey
Aldo & Barbara host their hive in an abundant back yard, full of fruit trees, an ever-amazing veggie patch, and pots full of prolific herbs. With the Koonung Reserve and Old Orchard Primary School nearby, their bees have no trouble finding bee-friendly plants full of nectar to bring back to the hive.
Reviews from David & Anita:
The February 2021 harvest:
A darker, more intense honey with sharp acidic notes reminiscent of burnt toffee. If you think hard enough you’ll create thoughts of leather, black licorice and green capsicum. You can’t make this stuff up!
The January 2021 harvest:
Think classic sandwich honey or drizzled on pancakes; clean, amber orange and lingering sweetness.
